In Qld and on holidays!

Well we may not have gone to Japan yet, but we ARE on holidays!

Its been a great few days so far with lots of catching up with our families. We have also managed a walk along the beachfront at Burleigh Heads the last couple of mornings.

Last night we enjoyed a lovely evening with my brother Julian and his family. Here is a pic of Mark & Julian, enjoying some of his home brewed blonde beer.

This was our view while drinking a coffee at a beachside cafe. Taken from Burleigh Heads looking north toward Surfers.

I couldn't resist taking this photo. A bus load of Japanese tourists removed their shoes, rolled up their pants and went for a walk along the beach, paddling a little in the water and picking up shells. They were so excited and obviously loving it. They did however stand out as they were mostly dressed head to toe in dark colours in contrast to the locals in their swimmers.

The question I posed to Mark on seeing them on the beach.. "will we stand out so easily when we are in Japan"?

Hopefully you won't be wandering around Japan in your togs as opposed to the locals in all their dark clothes....so maybe you won't stand out quite as much.
Good to see you again last night...looking forward to more Japan stories...travel safe...look after each other...love Tina

I always knew we lived in one of the most beautiful places and your photos remind me again.

It's good to see you both starting to relax, as you head off to Japan tomorrow. We're all going to enjoy the blogs!
